Christmas Outreach for Widows & Single Mothers

December 2021 ISK distributed raw food to widows and single mothers during the Christmas holiday. The program venue was filled up with over 100 beneficiaries who were properly taken care of. They were served raw food items including rice, beans, groundnut oil, seasoning, salt, etc. At the event, prayers were offered by most of the beneficiaries to all sponsors of the program. At the same time, they called on other philanthropists to emulate their kind gestures and love for humanity.

The program was slated for 10 am and more than half of the people expected arrived before the scheduled time. They were properly arranged with the assistance of the police and other security agencies on the ground.

Shoes and Uniform Outreach

Intentional Sister Keeper (Nigeria) Oyo state chapter embarked on another mission to cater to the children with special needs ( handicapped) on September 26th, 2022 to visit some of the schools for the handicapped (disabled) and distributed some materials that can aid learning activities for them.
These special needs children are the children with orthopedic and other impairments, the intellectually disabled (MR), the hearing impaired (Deaf) , the visually impaired (Blind), children with emotional disturbance or behavior disorder, children with speech and communication disorders, etc. Some of them are born like that while others find themselves in that situation after birth.
However, if these children can be given all the necessary support at home and school, no doubt, they will reach their potential and attain great success in life. These children need acceptance, love, care, and moral and financial support. Also, well-meaning citizens in society can still emulate this. Simply because, many of such children, if probably handled and rehabilitated, can adjust in society and this can make them somebody in life instead of being a problem to themselves, family and society.

This show of love was not restricted to only handicapped (disabled) but was also extended to their abled counterparts at St Michael Anglican Primary Schools (1&2) Esiele, Oyo. Where various backpacks, writing materials, uniforms, and sandals were distributed. It was also observed that most parents of the identified children are single parents and widows who also need to be empowered.
